This position supports the credit function of the company by analyzing small ticket transactions and making credit decisions or recommendations to management.
Essential Job Functions: Perform credit investigations and establish a credit decision for new and existing customers within the two hour turnaround time. This will be accomplished through an automatic data retrieval methodology which will populate a credit recommendation matrix. Review and spread financial statements and/or tax returns to analyze new or existing customers financial strength. Assist in customer service oriented communications with various vendor programs and Sales Representatives. Work with Management to analyze outside relationships; this will include: Review of potential new vendors and brokers Investigate potential vendors or brokers for potential derogatory information using internet resources Accountable for assisting in maintenance of the credit approval process for small ticket transactions Cancelling aged transactions Following up with sales reps and/or potential lessees on the status of open approvals Assist in the preparation of any reports that may be required by management. Begin analyzing/assisting in the underwriting of mid-ticket transactions. Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications: Bachelors degree in finance or accounting or related field. 2 plus years of experience with commercial transactions, including credit review, analysis and approval. Experience with equipment leasing or commercial loans/secured transactions preferred. Experience with small ticket credit underwriting and equipment leasing a plus Excellent communication and customer service skills required. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Must be detail oriented and analytical. Must be able to multi-task, think independently and solve problems within Company guidelines. Proficient with Microsoft Office Products
