Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the SCR Food & Beverage Shift Supervisor, assure that the guests of the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort have a world class standard of excellence experience when dining at designated outlet by properly setting up dining room operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Clean and set tables for dining service.
  • Understand the departments, F & B concept, menus and customer base.
  • Assist wait staff as needed.
  • Carry dirty dishes from dining area to kitchen, wipe tables and chairs, and set tables in accordance with outlet standards. Clean, stock and organize outlet service areas and dining rooms.
  • Sweep and/or mop floors as needed.
  • Complete opening and closing side work in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations at all times. Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority.
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality and present a positive, professional demeanor and image at all times.

  • Contact with guests in assigned area of responsibility to assure Four Diamond service.
  • Contact with associates, team leaders, and managers to ensure an optimum working environment.
  • Minimum Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to pass background check to meet the employment eligibility requirements as they pertain to the position.
  • License, Certification, or Special Requirements:

  • Native American preference shall apply to all positions.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of restaurant operations and food service principles.
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment and utensils maintenance operations.
  • Knowledge of safe practices in a kitchen working environment.
  • Ability to create a friendly atmosphere and demonstrate excellent guest service.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to interact and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to follow a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form.
  • Physical Demands:

  • Frequent use of hands, wrists, fingers associated with the serving of food and beverage, and clearing and resetting tables.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, standing, and walking required.
  • Daily and proper use of trays is required.
  • Occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
  • Work Environment:

  • Frequent walking and standing in a smoking environment and contact with the general public. Constant visual stimulation via neon lights on slot machines, repeatedly changing machine video screens, static or flashing signs throughout the casino and constant machine and crowd noise.
  • Working around heat, steam, greasy, wet conditions, varying temperatures, and high noise level in a kitchen environment.
  • Extended hours and irregular shifts are required.
